Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service. It applies to all use of ValGuard.ai's website, APIs, validation layer, and dashboard.

1. Prohibited conduct

You may not use ValGuard.ai to:

  • Violate applicable law, export controls, sanctions, or third-party rights.
  • Generate, store, or distribute malware, spam, phishing, or fraudulent content at scale.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against individuals or groups.
  • Process special-category personal data without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, billing meters, or validator enforcement.
  • Probe or attack our infrastructure without written authorization.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted in an Enterprise agreement.
  • Use the Service to develop competing validation products through systematic scraping of our rules catalog.

2. LLM & content responsibility

ValGuard.ai validates traffic you route through the validation layer; it does not replace your obligation to review outputs where human oversight is required. You must configure validators suitable for your jurisdiction and industry. Do not rely on the Service as the sole control for high-risk automated decisions without additional human or regulatory safeguards.

3. API keys & credentials

Protect API keys and provider credentials. Rotate keys after personnel changes. Do not embed production keys in client-side applications or public repositories.

4. Fair use & platform health

Excessive automated traffic that degrades service for others, attempts to defeat usage metering, or abusive retry patterns may result in throttling or suspension. Free-tier accounts are intended for evaluation and light production — not high-volume commercial resale.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove content where we store it, suspend accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement when required. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension except where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm.

6. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse or policy violations to abuse@valguard.neteos.eu. Security vulnerabilities should be reported per our security.txt.
